I went there recently for a job interview. I was left sitting for an hour and a half. Somebody finally came by and it wasn't even someone from the department that I'm watching for

I am so upset. My family member called me and I needed to call them back. When I did the receptionist and unit staff person were short-tempered and rude from hello. I asked to speak to my family member and was told no and then hung up on. I called back and the phone kept connecting and going back to hold music. They didnt even check to see if I was on the approved list. I was ON the list! I could understand if my person was busy and couldnt come to the phone but there was absolutely no reason for that behavior from staff. None. Disappointed and upset to know that my loved one is being cared for by people like that.

I dont usually do reviews unless its for shein so I get shein points but I went here in around like February and left march (2023) , this place was horrible. Most of the staff were rude, some were nice tho (shout out to miss Natalie). The first day there was a fight and I didnt even have a room yet, luckily some patients brought me into theirs. The phones sucked, you could barely hear the person your speaking too and there was no in-person visiting due to Covid. The food sucked, the chicken was pink. Their only good food was their breakfast, it was obnoxiously dirty with dust everywhere and the shampoo made your hair feel hard/stiff. The wallpaper on most walls are an uncomfortable type of green color- like a mid sage green that doesnt suit the walls well. The activity therapy was okay, good at times but boring and didnt help other times. The schedule was really strict, too. The group therapy was okay, I didnt hate it but I didnt love it. It was mid, but it helped. But for the good parts, most of the patients I met there were super nice and helped me through hard times. My roommates were amazing people. The breakfast there was really good, and so was their hi-c. But the snacks at snack time usually sucked (raisin granola bars is usually what we got for level 1). It doesnt feel like the staff have things fully under control during codes. When someone coded gray (aggression) things were everywhere and the staff were running everywhere and forced us to go to our room and be silent and not to come out. We were always in our rooms. They wouldnt let us touch anyone, so when someone was leaving we couldnt hug them or even give them a high-five, but some staff let us hug them. The rules are really strict, especially when it comes to touching others. You couldnt even touch someones hair, I had someone try and do my hair once and they yelled at us to stop. The facility was way too dirty, ants everywhere, dust in the corners, dead bugs on the walls, rust on the ceiling, it was horrible. The chairs were horribly uncomfortable and the whole place was unhealthy due to the dirt and really uncomfortable to be in. (Again shout out to miss Natalie she was the nicest and got us fidgets and dunkaroos). I was in the adolescent section (north section) and that was my experience. I do not recommend going to tho hospital, itll give you nightmares or trauma. Possibly both.
