I came to view this property as a last minute spur of the moment thing and Alexandra was so kind enough to take us on a showing without an appointment. She was very kind and thorough with all the information she provided and with answering all of our questions we had. Im definitely Considering moving to this property because of how welcoming and clean it looks.

I am going to start with the positive. 1.) The staff the maintenance crew is lovely as is Karen and Alexandra who work here. Even our postal guy is amazing. 2.) The location is great. 3.) The people who live here are very nice and I have met some lovely neighbors. The negative Avalon Corporate is a bunch of crooks. I have watched them force two elderly people out of the complex. Both of them are amazing tenants and neighbors all due to greed. One of them had lived here with his wife before she died for almost 10 years. I enjoyed talking to him almost every morning. They were struggling even before Covid with rents, and they are bilking the tenants now. The add-on fees are insane, and you have no way of verifying the accuracy of anything. They nickel and dime you for everything. I havent even been here for a year, and when I rented the unit, they pushed me into taking it before I wanted to, and the unit was not even ready. It was a disgusting mess. I moved in before it was ready based on the pressure from Avalon's policy. I am a very neat and good tenant. They sent me the new lease for next year, and they raised it by 10%. That is almost $500 a month. They get you in here and hold you hostage because it is expensive to move. Violation of Fair Housing laws. Time for David to take on Goliath? The technology package they want you to sign up for that they say is mandatory ends up being poor quality and costs you more. They did it purely for greed. The units are old and dated. They have been touched since the 90s. They force you to heat the lower foyer. It costs over $300 a month to run this old, antiquated heater because the complex is too cheap to update the heating units. They mandate it and send you notices, and they know it is an issue. I think the heater is barely functional. The garages can get water in them, and you have very limited storage. Instead of using a unit as a model they took over the clubhouse and now there is no meeting area for the tenants. The town needs to allow other builders to build apartments in town, so these guys lose their monopoly. Wilton needs to understand what the Avalon is doing to take away affordable options for people who want to live here with their children or even downsizers. It is a disgrace how their corporate greed has taken over. I dont even think they sponsor or do anything for the schools or the community.
