Was looking to try pizza in the Hartford area as I hadn't been there before. Saw Village Pizza high up on recommended lists and gave it a try. I saw they had different options available for crust, so I tried a large thick crust (bacon/meatball) and a medium regular crust with pepperoni. In hindsight I wish I had done the opposite but live and learn. The pepperoni pizza looked 10/10. And it tasted almost as good. I felt like I got thick crust on this pizza instead of normal though. Maybe they just have one style of crust and advertised incorrectly? Either way it tasted great so I wouldn't complain much. The bacon/meatball was just alright. They cube their meatball pieces but I didn't get much flavor from them. The bacon was flavorful though and overall it was good enough to eat. I would recommend getting extra cheese or something to add a little grease to the pizza as the dough was a bit dry (though flavorful). I only got take out but the environment was great and seemed like a perfect spot for locals to return to regularly. I would go back but probably stick to the pepperoni personally.
