Gayle Harris, MD, FACOG

My daughter and I recently visited the Connecticut Women's OB/GYN facility at 345 North Main St, West Hartford. Dr. Gayle Harris attended us. Dr. Harris is very friendly, compassionate, and very knowledgeable. The quality of care provided by Dr. Harris was exceptionally gratifying, and truly, words are insufficient to express our satisfaction.

Ive always had a great experience with each of the docs in this OBGYN practice. I originally chose it because Dr. Harris came highly recommended when I first moved here. Since then, she delivered my son and Ive been a patient for 16 years. The office is clean, the staff is friendly, and the doctors have a good bedside manner. Highly recommend!

I love the practice, but I did not have a good experience with Dr. Harris and would never recommend her. When I had my first pre-natal appointment with her, she did not even introduce herself before saying "You've gained THAT much weight since your last appointment?!?" in a very accusatory tone. She didn't even as any questions before making snap judgments about me based on my weight/appearance, such as suggesting I "clean up my diet". I felt judged and rushed through my appointment, and she had a flat affect and gave terse and incomplete answers to my questions. I asked her about pains I was experiencing after exercise that she dismissed as round ligament pain without asking any follow up questions. This did not sound right to me. However I spoke with another doctor at a subsequent appointment who confirmed that it was likely Braxton Hicks contractions. I left this appointment in tears. I like this practice but I would never recommend this doctor.
