West Hartford Inn

I reserved a room for my daughter who was travelling in the area. Their website said minimum age to check in was 18. I confirmed this upon booking (via phone instead of online for this express purpose). I called and verified it again. When she got there she was not allowed to check in, and they will not refund my non refundable booking. Leaving a teenager stranded in Hartford when I made every effort to confirm policies was NOT a good customer service experience.

Really centrally located, and very friendly and helpful staff. The rooms were a nice size and comfortable. Only negatives were that the bathroom had chipping paint and there was no breakfast. But everything else was excellent. I heard a rumor while there that it might be shutting down soon, but I would definitely stay there again if it is around the next time.

Place is falling apart, not worth the price. There was mold on the bathroom ceiling.

Booked a room online, went to the guy to check in. Gave him all of my info, boo(Ed another room (basically charged me twice) and REFUSED to offer me a credit or an extra night. I know how it works, I've worked at a hotel before, when you give them your name or ID they see the room you book and CHOSE to book another room....WHAT A FREAKING SCAM!!
