        Our business with this group ended before it began. Unfortunately the tax preparer we had been using for many years retired. Before she retired, she formally recommended Roberts Tax Group for 2023 and ongoing tax prep. I phoned Roberts Tax Group March 18, 2024 and left a detailed message with Kris Roberts. By March 21 my message had not been returned. On March 21 I sent an email communication via their company web site, again including detailed information. As of this writing on March 27, none of my messages have been returned. They may be busy this time of year, but its unprofessional at minimum to not return phone/email messages at all. Clearly, this is not the proper way to begin a new business relationship. Needless to say, we have taken our tax business elsewhere.

        Brett was incredible. I called Brett towards the end of the day with several tax questions for a particular situation I was handling and he was extraordinarily helpful. It was like he treated me as a client even before I started working with him and he knew that based on my situation, I likely would not need to hire him. Wow, just wow. I am so grateful. Thank you so much Brett!

        This is my first year working with the folks at Robert's. I have been thoroughly impressed with their entire team. They were always quick to respond to my questions, Sarah does a fantastic job keeping track of all the details and Kris took time to go over my return in detail with me and make sure I had everything I needed. Very pleased!!

        This is the most unprofessional tax or financial service I've ever experienced in my life. I don't say this lightly and have never left a negative review for any business before. Roberts Tax Group filed an incorrect tax return that hindered my ability to secure a mortgage. What's even worse is that they refused to amend my tax return or provide any explanation for their refusal to assist me. Adding to the confusion, this negative experience is at odds with all the five-star reviews they have received. If I could, I would give them a zero-star review. In response to their comment below: again, I am shocked, I only corresponded with Sarah and Kris so and would publicly share all of our interactions. I was not rude or unprofessional or disrespectful. I am however, having to redo two years of Tax Returns with another firm.

      Melany, it is unfortunate that you are not satisfied with our services. While we have taken action to discuss and resolve these issues with you directly, you have not been receptive. We would like to take the opportunity now to clear up your misconceptions.We did in fact file a complete and correct tax return based upon your prior year’s filings, your response to our questionnaire, and the source documentation you provided. Unfortunately, you did not provide us with a W-2 that you had received. We were unable to identify it was missing because you did not receive one prior, you did not fill your organizer, and most importantly you did not let us know about this when asked about your income sources. Everyone makes mistakes. In the rare circumstance that we make a mistake, we take responsibility, and amend any returns at no cost to our clients. This is also true for our clients. If they forget to provide correct, complete information and a mistake is made, we expect them to take responsibility, and pay for us to amend the return.We do our best to develop a relationship with our clients because they rely on us to prepare their returns promptly and accurately, and we rely on them to provide us with the necessary information to prepare their returns. Communication is of the upmost importance. Our clients expect professionalism, honesty, and respect from us, and we require the same in return. That is why we have such great clients, and such great relationships with them as demonstrated by our reviews.We explained to you several months ago that we had chosen to no longer continue our relationship with you and no longer provide you services beyond the current tax filing season. We made this decision because of your lack of communication and responsiveness, as well as your disrespectful, unprofessional, and rude behavior to multiple members of our staff. This is why we are unable to assist you now.We are sympathetic to your situation, and while it is unfortunate please remember moving forward that the nature of the relationship you have with an accountant is a team approach built upon trust, communication and respect.
