Short walk to a small viewing platform. Lots of wildlife around there's a deer that frequents the parking lot area. There's also many rabbits and a skunk in the area. Not a dog friendly park from the signage. There's an Osprey eagle Nest beside the train tracks not far from the park entrance.

Why was this small piece of Heaven for the birds that lived and migrated there plowed out of existence is beyond me. My husband and I used to frequent and photograph this beautiful cove off Long Beach Boulevard in Stratford, CT I have a video of the congregation of egrets in the summer evenings when the cove was a place for them to feel protected and raise their young but now everything is too exposed to the elements to call it home. Along with the egrets other birds where always popping in and out . The painted turtles will be Sun bathing and many ducks and swans and mergansers along with some song birds and a very elusive king fisher who would be snagging a mino or two for dinner. Is very sad to see none of this creatures will be back to nest any time soon if ever again. .
