I highly recommend Dr Rachael Messinger and her office staff with their work with me. Her chair side manner, her skill set, her friendliness, and her willingness to explain procedures is refreshing. She capped four of my front teeth with no drama, no pain, and the results are nothing short of a miracle. You won't go wrong working with Dr. Messinger on your team.

For decades, I dreaded dental appointments. As they approached, I would start to feel unwell. Once they began, it was all cold sweats and desperate attempts to pretend I was somewhere else. Afterwards, I would barely remember a thing, already dreading the next appointment. Until I began working with Dr Messinger. Why? Trust and communication. Dr Messinger's open and honest approach when discussing options and performing procedures, has allowed me to take a deep breath and trust that Im in safe, capable hands. Its allowed me to move forward with a treatment plan that I feel confident with. And it's had me, for the first time in forever, looking at the mirror and smiling. Thank you Dr Messinger!

I've had the most wonderful experience with the entire team at this office. I began with a visit in search of teeth whitening and replacing a few mercury fillings... After the initial visit/consultation I decided I wanted to make this dentist office my primary dentist. I had my first cleaning with the dental hygienist, Mangala who is absolutely AMAZING!! She made me feel so comfortable and kept me informed as she took my x-rays and did the cleaning, my teeth feel so clean!! The following week I returned to meet with Dr Rachel Messinger to begin the process of replacing my fillings. She is the first Dentist I've ever met with who I feel genuinely cares about my comfort and the results I want. She is caring and gentle and made me feel so relaxed and calm while she replaced my filling. I felt no pain or discomfort at all! I was initially a bit scared about having the fillings replaced but after this visit I'm excited for the end result! I have nothing but confidence in the team at Cosmetic & Family Dentistry.

I had a very negative experience with a dentist when I was young. Only one dentist since has made me feel secure and comfortable. Now there are two. If you are dentist phobic, I highly recommend Dr. Rachel Messinger. I started seeing Dr. Messinger after moving to Stamford in June 2023. Recently, I had discomfort which turned out to be a cracked tooth which meant I needed a crown. I haven't had serious dental work in years. The last time I did, I had a terrible reaction to what the dentist gave me to numb my mouth. They gave me several shots of something that contained epinephrine and left me alone. My reaction made me think I was having a heart attack. I explained all this to Dr. Messenger, who listened and made it clear that she would do everything to make me comfortable, including allowing me to have nitrous gas, which I requested. I was anxious, and I was not getting the relief from the numbing agent. Dr. Messinger took her time, letting me know what my options were. Thanks to her patience, I eventually became numb, and the procedure could proceed. It turns out that it takes me longer than normal to be affected by the anesthetic. Another dentist might have just given up. Dr. Messinger was able to do what she needed to do, explaining each step along the way.
