The Next Street - Orange Driving School

Ari Yiannoulis was a very professional and helpful instructor he made me feel ready for my road test. 100 percent would recommend him. He was very patient. He makes the driving lesson less nerve racking then they normally would be. All my friends enjoy driving with him. Definitely one of the best instructors at the next street.

Daniel H, Tyler S, and Ronald M made my experience with The Next Street, such a hassle free and great time. With the classroom instruction, with Daniel H, I was able to learn about many important aspects about driving. With Tyler S and Ronald M, I was able to learn the on road techniques in parking maneuvers, as well as driving on the highway. The Next Street made getting my license, such a relaxing and easy experience!

Overall I was very pleased with the experience my twin daughters and myself had using TNS but I came here specifically to talk about one person in particular. I'm so upset with myself that I didn't keep the form provided that included his full name but hopefully this feedback reaches him (or better yet, his supervisor!). Monday 5/9/2022 at 9AM, we went to the Orange CT TNS location for my girls license tests and were greeted by a friendly man named Bob. He was SO kind, SO thoughtful, and SO thorough. As I said, we've had a good experience overall but Bob was by far the most pleasant individual we dealt with. I do hope that he is appreciated by the company as his calm sweet demeanor was so refreshing - especially in such a crazy time in the world and certainly during an already stressful situation (heading into back to back road tests!). We were happy with NTS - the ONLY thing I was disappointed with is that they offered a $20 discount when enrolling more than one person at a time and I never received that. I was bummed that $20 was all they offered to take off but that's fine - and then it was never applied, to my knowledge. Otherwise, I recommend. Especially that Bob! :)

Don't be fooled, they are flashy and advertise that they have locations everywhere. Thats why I chose them for my sons driver's ed experience. It included the full driver's ed course and 8 hours behind the wheel lessons. The classroom portion was ok, except its all on Zoom so for one class the instructor didn't know my son was there and he had to sit through another 2 hour class he had already taken. It really fell apart when it came time to schedule his in car lessons. I have been trying to get lessons scheduled since March, and they have nothing close to us until September! We did get lucky ONCE and were able to schedule a lesson close to home, and the instructor didn't show up. I've tried calling and emailing. Email gets no response, calling you're on hold for 10-20 minutes each time. Today I decided to hold until someone picked up, because I actually had time to wait that ridiculous amount of time. They agreed to refund me for the behind the wheel portion of the program, after I refused to drive 30 minutes to a different location. Great! I immediately called Epic Driving School and they are able to start teaching my son tomorrow, and have TONS of appointments available in the near future. They're also less expensive. So to summarize, between March-September ZERO availability for my location. No-show instructor the one time we did get an appointment. Lacking response to customer inquiries or issues. Advertise locations everywhere, but don't expect to be able to actually get a lesson close to you in a timely manner. This review never had to happen if they would've answered my emails or had someone pick up the phone efficiently. Ive been reaching out to them since April. Choose a different driving school.
