        2024's pizza place of my youth, revisited - tables with benches, old photos on the walls, the guy behind the counter who knows you by sight, and a really good slice of pie. (We didn't have a Vic's next door when I was a kid; that's a bonus.) My husband's a huge fan of their meat lovers. As a vegetarian I prefer a mashed potatoes and pesto, no bacon. Nice size small, too; I've got leftovers from the small I ordered last night. As always, we were both glad we went to Mangia, our favorite pizza place from the moment they opened their doors. I told my husband when we got home that, much as I enjoyed our last date night, which was a restaurant fancier than our usual, there's just something special about getting a New Haven pizza with a glass of PBR.
