    They would not replace a one day old refrigerator. They wanted to send out a repair guy. I didn't want a repaired refrigerator..... I paid for a new refrigerator and that's what I wanted!!!!! Worst assholes I ever dealt with!!!!!!

    We had never shopped at SK Lavery Appliance Company before and WILL NEVER SHOP THERE AGAIN! We went to the store because other stores did not have the dishwasher in the store so we could actually get a good look at the appliance. Once we got the dishwasher, it was not installed for 3 weeks since our kitchen was having a countertop and tile backsplash installed. The dishwasher was installed by a licensed plumber however it made an intermittent loud noise and when we called the manufacturere we were told we had to have it repaired. A washer pump motor was ordered and installed but that motor also made a loud noise. During that time we called SK Lavery numerous times from day one of the installation requesting a new replacement dishwasher since it had just been installed. The salesperson was friendly when we bought the item but once we had a problem the store did not want to hear from us or work with us. We had many conversations with the on going problems with absolutely no satisisfaction. The sales manager did not want to help us. Finally I called Whirlpool myself explaining our problem and they instantly made arrangements for a new dishwasher to be delivered. It took just 1 week for the new dishwasher to arrive and get installed....and it is working without a problem. Sk Lavery could have and should have helped us out instead of not doing anything. This store does not even deserve 1 star. I WOULD STRONGLY RECCOMEND NOT TO SHOP AT THIS STORE.

    bought new fridge from S.K.L. during pandemic. sales rep. was ok. Delivery was ok, but delivery person they used tried to cajole me for an extra $50.00 cash to make "necessary adjustment to water-line that would cost hundreds and take time to hire someone else". fridge itself, poor quality. within 1 yr, freezer door jammed, slides broke. within 2 yrs, evaporator motor burnt out. yeah, "they don't make 'em like they used to" and unless u get a svc. contract at time of sale, the store u buy from can't/won't do much other than offer to send out a tech. (which may take wks), and likely cost u for service-call, labor, diagnostics, parts, etc., b/c that fugazi "10 yr warranty" sticker that manufacturers put on items only applies in so few situations it's practically worthless. i can't fault S.K.L. (or any store) as it all comes down to, not how things are sold, but how things are now made by the big brands w/ more focus on aesthetics than functionality.

It began in 1928 with one man who emigrated from Scotland to pursue the American dream. Samuel K. Lavery, an electrician by trade, started the S.K. Lavery Appliance Company in an effort to increase his electrical business. In those days, it was not a simple process for a homeowner to purchase a range. In many cases, Sam would be installing a range for the very first time and maybe even the first light bulb in a customer's home. As more appliances were introduced, the business expanded. Now we sell not only ranges, but also refrigerators, vacuum cleaners, air conditioners, gas grills, washers and dryers, televisions, dishwashers, all major appliances and electronics.
