So I wanted to get my CT pistol permit. I found Herb after a few recommendations and Google search. He was very professional, going over all my options and taking time to answer my questions. So for a few extra bucks I decided to pick a private class with him. This was definately worth it. Taking the time for one on one was amazing. He went over all the course material, spent time on areas I had specific questions on or wanted more information and moved fast through other areas that I picked up quickly.
He brought multiple guns so i could see how different ones worked and the ins and outs. We went though the written test and all was well. He also helped me fill out my application for Connecticut as well as the application for the Utah extended permit.
After class we went out and he let me shoot of 10 rounds on two guns of my choice that he brought with him. He also took the time allowed me to bring a shotgun along to see what that was like and how to use one.
Look you can go out and get a permit take a class and waste time or you can go to Herb and learn and ask questions and be safe about it. I'd rather spend my money and learn not just go through the motions and hope I know what I'm doing.
As I learn and get comfortable with the basics after I get a permit, I'm definately going 5o see Herb again and get some more advance training. He was amazing. I highly recommend you take his class!

Respectful instructor. He makes it easy to learn by being simple and direct. The environment is 'learning friendly' and the instructor makes every effort to make your money and time worth it.
