We've had a tour run by students, all female, who were graduating and going on to careers in neuroscience, molecular biology and other advanced sciences at competitive colleges and the military. No where else in our area offers Calculus 4 to high school students.

I did appreciate going to this school because I met some amazing people and found a family here, but I never expected the two schools to merge to create one giant "multi-magnet campus" (Science and Tech and New London High School). There had been no warnings and rather we (the students) were thrown into the change suddenly. We asked questions time after time again, and low and behold, the higher-ups never gave a single answer (all during my sophomore year, which is about 2-3 years ago). There was never an answer until my first day back for junior year I found that the two schools had merged. I can tell you that my entire class was angry beyond repair--all the way up until we graduated. We loved our teachers and we were all great friends, but the administrators here do not and cannot communicate efficiently amongst one another, not to mention they kept adding more and more higher-ups to the point that I have no idea who was my principal during my senior year. Just some extremely critical feedback to the higher-ups here: the students and teachers are part of these processes, too--big or small. Be sure to be clear and concise next time when you make a decision so everyone is involved in the process. It could really help your image on this school. (:
