The office staff are super responsive and helpful. Lucky that I rented my apartment with them.

I rented with ECP for the school year, and it was a wonderful experience. My roommate and I often joke that we will never have management this responsive and helpful again -- they've fielded all of our questions and requests by next day! One of my blinds broke one morning, and I had a new one delivered to the door of my unit within 1-2 business days (I installed it myself due to COVID). Our unit has also been really well maintained -- the walls are relatively thick from room to room, and between floors. I also really appreciate that the exterminator comes once a month, which has offered a lot of peace of mind.The only thing that would be nice is if we could sell furniture to the next tenants and leave furniture for them in the apartment -- ECP does require you to move everything out between leases so that they can deep clean the apartment and the floors, which is wonderful, but it's the only thing I would want to change about my experience, and not a big deal in the larger scheme of things. Not having to worry about a landlord trying to nickel and dime me, or not responding to maintenance requests has been great.Overall, it's been a delight renting with ECP!

The apartments they manage are in excellent condition, and they do hold some of the best apartments in the city. Having heard horror stories of other landlords in the city, I recommend their service, especially if you're new to city. A couple of serious downsides, though: 1. Some of the people who work there treat you like you did something wrong when you contact them. I contacted them to ask about a fire code related question and lease transfer, and the first thing they think is that you did something wrong. 2. The maintenance will enter into your apartment without any consideration of your life. I have come to hate calling for maintenance in the three years I have lived there. All in all, the most lasting impression I got is that they treat tenants like kids. I mean, you just wouldn't take such threatening tones to customers in any other industry. Wouldn't you also try to schedule a mutually convenient time when you need to get into someone else's house?
