Apparently my R leg was saved.It wasn't amputated.In August 2017,I was seen by Dr.Christopher Mandego at Columbia University.He said as longer as I was walking with a walker, I needed no further surgery at that time. I am still walking with a walker.In addition my doctors tell me I have heart , lung , liver damage and damage to my larynx and trachea.
.In the meantime I experienced great pain and suffering while at Yale for"further management."Before my admission to Yale I was a perfectly healthy person who had just in April 2017, suffered multiple orthopedic injuries, yes, and a splenectomy .at Waterbury Hospital.I had a myomectomy in 1977 and a Caesarean Section in 1979.That was the extent of my surgery. .But no cancer, no heart disease ,no liver disease, no kidney disease, no head injury.No psychiatric. history.No history of alcoholism ., hypertension, diabetes..I never smoked.I was active in my community ..I walked as much as 13 miles in one day.
I suffered 2 decubiti at Yale, one resulted in a wound that didnot heal till January of 2018.My home care nurse Mignonne Dorcelay R.N. said to me ."Yale did this to you? The. great American university where all the American presidents graduated?"
