New Haven Financial Empowerment Center

I cant believe this exists and is free! My counselor, Lisani, is so accessible, non-judgmental and knowledgeable. She really takes the time to get to know my situation and goals, and make the process as stress-free and empowering as possible. She even meets with me each month to track progress and developer deeper understanding of how to get control of my finances. Everyone should do this, especially those of us who grew up poor or working class and never learned any of these budgeting or credit management /literacy tools.

Excellent resource Center and down to earth financial advice that is easy to interpret but very helpful. The best part is that it's FREE for New Haven residents. This is a hidden gem. They can better your financial life with a structured, prudiential and an intricate plan. them! (Please note: Their not financial advisors that help you with investments - rather they help you reduce debt, possibly increase income, get your credit score up, help w/ homeownership, help with collections and almost all financial trouble / financial gain your looking to achieve - they help you. )
