I had a reservation to pick up a car and was told the day of the reservation, about 10 minutes before my reservation, that I was going to be put on a waitlist because they had no more cars available and that there was nothing they could do. This was unfortunate given that if I had known in advance I could have made arrangements to reserve a car at a different agency, however being told last minute, there were no cars that I could rent in New Haven. I have rented from here before and typically have had pleasant interactions. However, I did have something to get to tomorrow morning and now that is not possible. This was poorly handled in my opinion given that there was no accountability for their own mishap. Honestly, even after some pleasant interactions based on this interaction alone I would never want to rent here again.

I had to get. Rental due to an auto accident. Not my fault lol. I was allowed to get a Corolla which wasnt my style I choose to get a Rav 4 instead and pay a bit extra daily I was ok with. The first one I got first day had a slow leak on the tire. Right away they scheduled a swap out for me at my convenience. The team here is amazing. Thanks for everything.

In terms of this particular location, everyone was nice enough, but they were very slow getting me the vehicle. It took over an hour to get the vehicle. Not ideal if you have somewhere to be or are on a deadline. The vehicle was washed and cleaned which was appreciated.
As far as the car itself was concerned, the seat was broken so you could not move it up or down which made driving a bit uncomfortable if you were on the taller side.
Also, lets have a conversation about hidden fees right now. First of all, I live five minutes away and Im not a tourist so the idea that there is a Tourism account surcharge is a bit shady. The cost of the vehicle was $42 a day so when its all said and done youre basically paying for an extra day of the vehicle.
