Fact Finder Inspections

Inspector missed water damage and structural issues that are going to exceed 50k in repairs needed. I've spoken to about 4 contractors by now that are shocked seeing what was missed during the inspection. When I tried to confront the inspector he hid behind his paperwork and said with an attitude "I'm sure there is water damage." He grossly downplayed the severity of what was needed and his report was a vague grading system to avoid any responsibility. Would recommend avoiding at all costs.

I do not often write reviews, but I felt compelled to comment on this experience. I went with Fact Finder at the advice of our agent for a purchase. I was told to call and ask for Ray. I called Fact Finder, asked for Ray, to which I received "this is Ray", requested an appointment, and was told I was scheduled for an inspection a few days later with Ray. At the scheduled time, Jesse showed up. Turns out, I had spoken to Jesse. I never spoke with Ray, even though I asked "Is this Ray?" when I called originally. As an out of town buyer, I had no way of knowing this. Inspection came and went. Report quality was average. We later learned that several appliances were problematic. We did not know this because the inspector skipped testing these items because the prior owner indicated that they were "new." The washer was defective and several plumbing items required immediate repairs that were not noted in the report. It's frustrating, to say the least. I can handle subpar quality from time to time. It happens. But being lied to on top of that? I do not know why anyone would want to do business with someone like that. Service: Pre-listing inspections
