As a young first time home buyer at 24 with a baby I thought I was in good hands with Ashley bowne considering weve been family friends since I was 8 years old. That was not the case, on the day of the closing everything on the purchase and sales repair agreement was fixed except a costly copper pipe repair in the basement in good faith and knowing Ashley for as long as I did I trusted her when she said her sellers would send a plumber as soon as possible if we closed today. Unfortunately being excited to get my family into our first home I said yes instead of refusing to close. after months of trying to reach her and the sellers they now are telling us they are not liable for anymore repairs on the home and the deal is done. In black in white the sellers signed they would fix said repairs and now refuse. Ive lived in the westerly Pawcutuck area my whole life and know a lot people who are looking to buy a home and the one thing I will say to them is if Ashley Bownes name and a William raveis sign is out front I highly highly recommend you dont buy that home and find a more respectable agent.
