Residence Inn by Marriott Mystic Groton

Other than the location being perfect the hotel room and pool were horrible. On our first day there was a dead rat outside. I travelled with small children so that was a fun conversation. The pool had clumps of hair, and I mean clumps! Looks like someone lost a whole scalp right on the edge of the pool with more floating in. Room was run down and not comfortable. Barely enough seating for 6 people and 1 remote for 3 tvs. No room cleaning during our entire stay and the continental breakfast was cold overcooked and not enjoyable. Couldnt wait to go home. Will not be using again.

Website shows and says the suite rooms have fireplaces. They do... However, they are all turned off and were told they no longer function. Don't waste your money if you're looking forward to having a fireplace.

Salina and her crew took excellent care of us during our stay. Friendly, polite, and welcoming, they made the stay at Residence great.

Impressive room. Extremely clean and well-appointed. The morning breakfast offered several options including eggs, Belgian waffles and different breads. I enjoyed spending a luxurious night at this Residence Inn and highly recommend it.
