Slammin'!!! An incredibly cathartic, what is now, an intoxicating memory. First of all, if you haven't been to Mystic, you ought to go cause it's one of the most charming towns in New England. My partner and I just spent 4 glorious days at the Block Island Cottage, in Mystic, in the middle of winter. We felt as if we had an entire 'estate' to ourselves! The view of the water and sun changed hourly. We were memorized and found it difficult to do much else, as we sat on the sofa and felt so blessed to be able to dial in to nature this way. Being in such a beautiful setting right on the water any time of year is beyond words. But being HERE, on the water, was special. This property is special, period. We had to stay another day and wished we could stay longer! Exceptionally clean, hi-tech, yet cozy. Our hosts (hostesses) were phenomenal -- attentive and thoughtful. Bottle of wine and a few bottles of water to welcome us. A binder filled with recommendations of things to do, eateries, etc. Obviously, their faves. (Spot on!) So. Go during the off-season, when it's chilly and invigorating. You won't believe this gem and what it will do for your soul and your spirit. Thank you, ladies. We fell in love with your place!! We'll be back for sure! (BTW, the heater in the bathroom is on a motion detector. All you have to do is walk in...! Quite a selection of coffee to choose from too. Bed and bedding--- so sooooooo comfortable - we felt like it 'hugged' us! Yikes!! I could go on and on. Last thing - we jumped on the Port Jefferson Ferry, (as we're from Long Island), and it took us about an hour or so to drive to the cottage once we got to Bridgeport. Just do it. We did....spur of the moment. (If you have a chance, go to Milestone for dinner. Chicken was rockin'! Ask Peter, the proprietor, and tell him Debbie and Ralph from Long Island sent you. Go for it. Harbor View Landing (really shouldn't matter much which cottage you stay in unless you need space for more than 2). And maybe tell Deb that we sent you. Couldn't hurt! Have FUN!!

We spent a brief 2-day getaway here and I can't say enough about how cool this place is. Nestled on a small spot of land on the water, you'd never know it was here unless you had directions. We stayed in the Nantucket cottage and felt like we were in our own private property. The unobstructed views of the harbor from both rooms are the highlight of the cottage. With the weather changes, each morning presented us with a new artist-worthy painting. We chose to simply relax and enjoy the views, read our novels and decompress from the daily grind. We plan to return again.
