Waited about 3 hours for them to finally check Reggie out. They said he looks fine so they arent sure why hes not eating or pooping, probably just uncomfortable in a new environment. Died 3 days later, thanks guys!! :))

Brought my sick guinea pig here. They took over 3 hours to bring us in so they could grab him and check him out in the back just to tell us he was fine (he was not eating or pooping, so definitely not fine). They did a thorough exam in the back without us there and when talking to us after we realized it was anything but. He had a big lump on his shoulder that was not an issue but we brought it up to just let her know we knew about it. To which she responded oh i didnt know he had a lump. Literally anyone who pet him saw and felt it so I can only imagine how little they cared. They charged us $200 and sent us home. Within the next few days he had passed away. They truly dont care about small animals so if you have one just bring them elsewhere.

Cannot recommend. Our wait for an emergency consult was 5 hours. I waited in a room for multiple hours before anyone spoke with or checked on us. I explicitly stated I would not allow admission unless it was considered a life threatening situation and it was not. I had to write a healthcare directive to keep on file to protect my dog from incurring unwarranted tests and procedures. I provided recognized veterinary resources for consultation purposes that were not used. Internal medicine delayed an X-ray for almost 24 hours and allowed my dog to put weight on a dislocated wrist. When I did receive a phone consult on the matter, I was dismissed in a cold manner, shamed by the internist for my perspective and knowledge on a disease nobody at the hospital had experience with, given a disconnected treatment plan that was not verified to be possible. After signing an AMA, the hospital did not even provide pain medication on discharge. I would never go here again and I cannot state anything positive about our experience.

Ive always had a good experience in person with Pieper, but the staff is always extremely rude on the phone and seem annoyed whenever I call to schedule an appointment.

Unfortunately, my visits both resulted in the loss of a pet, though that was not within the control of the doctors. Demeanor of staff was excellent and there was a great deal of empathy and sympathy to my situation.
