Avoid Aspen Dental at all costsI only go here because theyre one of the few places in-network with my insurance.
They require a complete series x-ray on your first visit as a new patient. I told them I can send x-rays taken by my last dentist just over a year ago, but they didnt care and refused to see me if I didnt get x-rays done by them. They justify this practice by saying its company policy, but its just a money-grab.
They also tried to upsell unnecessary services. I told them I dont want fluoride or a cancer screening test at my first visit and they tried getting me to agree to these services at my follow-up appointment for a cleaning (they will not clean your teeth at your first visit as a new patient).
Other cons:
*Appointments are more time-consuming than most places
*Old technology/equipment
*Mediocre customer service

I normally dont leave negative reviews because I know how it might affect business, but the experience my mom had with aspen dental was horrible (not only this location) ! Long story short, my mom wanted to have 4-on-1 implants done, paid over $40k, and they put 8 screws in her mouth. After waiting for almost a year now and its finally the time put on the dentures. She went the Glastonbury location and dentist told her that one of the implants fell out and they cannot do the surgery. Problem is that my mom was there last week and dentist loosened up the screws to prepare for the procedure and now they are telling her that she can either pay another $15k to get a snap-on denture first and wait for another 8 month for the permanent one. Or she can continue using the glue-on denture which causes bleeding every single day when removing it. My mom has already gone through a lot of pain and trouble during the whole process, she regrets having the surgery at aspen dental done every day! Staffs are pushy and also laughing at her. She is an old lady with history of cancer, and no one is trying to help her by knowing that. I dont think this is the way how a dental office should treat its patients, everything is about business.
