Inn At Lafayette

No confirmation was received for this reservation so I called to confirm the night before. The person I spoke with was in a big hurry but I was able to confirm our details including a late check-in. We arrived to a dark, locked building. No answer of knock or phone call. Left a message on their answering machine and found another hotel. I received no return call by 4pm the following day.

We had a wonderful stay here for our honeymoon. Our room was classy and clean, and because noone was staying in the room the night after us we were allowed a check out time that was after noon.

Filthy rooms. Rooms have not been properly cleaned in quite sometime.  There was thick dust throughout the room, dirty carpet and sheets with visible stains. The top sheet and pillow cases were the wrong size for the bed and the room reeked of garlic. They use "hidden" air fresheners to try to mask the smell, but the combination of air freshener and food from the kitchen below only makes it worse. We paid 140 for the room and I couldn't recommend paying even $20 for the room. The bathroom was actually very beautiful and the bed-and-breakfast has potential, they just need to invest in proper cleaning of the rooms and upgrade the sheets. There was also no one to be found to voice concerns to or if you needed assistance, nobody was there.
