Panera Bread

This shop is closed. They closed over a month ago. Please drpp off the location in downtown Hartford Ct. All others Paneras are open.

After posting this earlier review, I continued to be frustrated by a national franchise that provided such limited hours for local office workers and residents of downtown Hartford.  During a subsequent visit, I found a poorly trained cashier that backed up the line for several lunchtime customers.  I also discovered that a regular menu item, the Asian chicken salad, had been removed from the menu by the manager.After a visit in early February to try the new toasted sandwiches (the caprese melt was very good!), I returned again this week to be greeted with a sign that this location has closed for good!Whether the responsibility for this failure can be blamed on corporate Panera or the local franchisee or manager, the things that I have described above could be a case study of bad management by a franchise in a great location.

Staff unprofessional and the worst customer service I have ever experienced

Parking: There is no parking, workers have no idea what they're doing and complained about having a line of customers the whole 40 min I waited to get my cold Mac and cheese, barely warm soup, and a bread bowl so hard I couldn't even eat it!! My entire order was a waste of $30+!! I'm very disappointed in this location I will never be back!!
