I was with agent for nearly 4 years while living in the area. He doesnt bombard you with excessive or pointless emails, which I appreciate. Policy rates did go up every 6 months. Most recent rate hike was substantial. When questioned, all he could say was Allstate did a Connecticut wide increase. I will say friends with Geico were paying roughly the same rate for 3 cars (full coverage) as I paid for 1 (full coverage). I didnt feel like dealing with the hassle of quoting and changing providers at the time so I stayed, but if you are shopping rates, other national carriers sound more competitive from what Ive heard. My biggest complaint currently is the process for canceling a policy. Agent seems much slower to respond now that he knows my business is elsewhere (due to moving out of state) and his emails read much moodier than they did in past. Seems like a risky move in such a digital world. I get that we all have limited time in the day so on some level, it makes sense to prioritize current and prospective customers vs. formerbut why risk the less than positive review and word of mouth by coming off moody/vague/less than helpful when you do respond?

Dealing with the agency was a good experience. Dealing with All State was the worst experience of my life. I would like to stay with the agency, but staying with All State may be a problem.

Not a good company
