Im not sure words can explain how BCW has changed our lives forever. My daughters life was saved by everyone involved with their knowledge, and understanding of my childs needs. Our daughter spent over 3 months in residential care and even though this was the hardest decision we have ever made as parents, it was the best choice for our daughter. The ENTIRE staff were angels, they gave her the kind of care we were unable and not knowledgeable enough to give at the time to help her on her wellness journey. They provided a safe space to heal, they were tough and stern when they needed to be and always gave a loving touch and gentle words when that was needed as well. Not only did they support our daughter, but us parents as well. We were educated on how to help our daughter which gave us the confidence we so desperately needed when it was time to bring her home. Our concerns were heard, we were allowed to voice our feeling's without fear of judgement. They truly are masters of their craft and all had the same goal in mind. I will never be able to thank them enough for saving our girl and bringing her back to us. We will always hold a special place in our hearts for all. Highly recommend Backcountry wellness.

I wish I could rate negative stars. This is the worst residential facility I have ever seen. I will feel guilt for the rest of my life for sending my daughter to this force feeding prison that they have the audacity to call a treatment facility. Staff are mostly baby sitters who know nothing about ED. My daughter was there almost two years ago and I still think about how awful it was. Jessica is a liar and one of the most unethical people I have ever met. She should lose her license forget about her job. If you care about your child, DO NOT SEND THEM HERE!!!

I had called several places referred by my daughters pediatrician. before Backcountry Wellness. Most of them I got a no answer, or not accepting an 11 year old patient. BCW was my last call. Thank goodness I made this call and didnt give up! Dr.B answered the phone herself! I had suspicions that my daughter might have had an eating disorder according to a post of hers to friends. Dr.B was very accommodating to our needs for an appointment. During the intake appointment Dr.B was very gentle and compassionate and still able to directly dig in with honest questions. At the end, Dr.B determined my daughter didnt have a problem. Of course I felt at ease since shes an expert on this subject. I then expected to be directed to Miss Marrisa to deal with the financials of the appointment. No one does anything for free. Surprisingly, Dr. B charged me nothing for the visit. I am forever grateful for her time and counsel. Will definitely keep her in mind if anyone I know needs this kind of help!
