        Do not rent equipment from American Ladders and Scaffold they are scammers with a cool commercial jingle. It's a very small company. Rented a ladder lift from them in AUGUST 2022. The lift was missing parts, machine carriage would just release when lifting then come crashing down creating a major safety hazard. The machine had issues with lifting cause the machines are not maintained at all. I was warned by other contractors to never rent from them but thought they can't be that bad. Didn't give us all the parts (handles, connecting bolts which costed us to lose an entire day out of our 7 day rental for them to bring us out the parts. So we returned it a day after the seven days to make up for the lost day. We got there as soon as they opened. Tony took the rental back. We discussed the lost day Tony said we were good due to the lost day and we returned it. Then 2weeks later I notice another 1wk $464 charge on top of the initial charge of $464. I called n talked to them got on the phone with Mark or Matt the Manager. He said they would refund the $464 and just charge a day rate $364 (best they could do) after arguing the lost day. But they said because we returned it as soon as they opened they have the right by contract to charge a full week extra. So after giving me his word he'd refund and drop it to the day rate they still never did that. Total scammers with junk equipment. Your best bet is to go somewhere else or go on Amazon or to a home depot and buy your own lift. Our company will NEVER rent from them again.
