Very bad experience. Do not go here. If you are not willing to be obnoxiously persistent you will not be cared for here. In my case I came for braces and after nearly a year of waiting I have opted to cancel my treatment since I am leaving the state for graduate school and still haven't received my braces. After paying $1165 out of the $3700 cost. I am now being told to expect to wait 8-10 weeks and to have $415 deducted because of a new insurance billing code used between UCONN and my insurance company Cigna. This is manger of treating patients is disgraceful and I demand a full refund.

If I could give 10 stars I would. Dr Santacroce and assistant Emma were beyond excellent to me. I wish I could be his permanent patient. He was very good, extracted a broken wisdom tooth which was causing me extreme pain. I have no fear of the dentist but I do have panic disorder so I was worried about having an attack there. I didn't! They made me feel very comfortable almost no pain aside from little sting from numbing needle. Thank you!

I had a lot of problems with this place. The receptionists on the phone are rude and disrespectful. MOST of the time they have a major attitude problem and I say "they" because it has happened with 3 or 4 different receptionists. Once you get past the attitude at the front desk, here comes the lies from the dentists. "You can let food go into the hole from the extraction site, it won't cause infection" WRONG! And this wasn't a person in training, this was the guy in the white coat, the real dentist who had been doing this a long time. I have more i want to say but I won't. All I can say is please, do yourself a favor, and if you need dental care, do everything in your power to go somewhere else where you don't have to deal with the attitude, the lies, and the poor dental care. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would.

I have been going to UCONN Dental for over a year. The communication is terrible and it is very aggravating to get a message to your particular dentist and to receive a return call. Most businesses have an at work email so you can have direct communication or results of procedures/tests.It takes 3 or more calls each time in order to get any return calls! It is also, extremely frustrating to get an appointment because a patient needs to wait until the month before to call to make an appointment. No accountability fir lack of communication.
