I would like to open this response by emphasizing how deeply I value integrity, character, and my clients’ experiences during a real estate transaction. The trusted relationships I form are widely echoed in google reviews by other clients. With that being said, I am formally responding to further demonstrate my devotion to honesty and the ethical responsibilities of my career.In this statement, I will refer to a concrete paper trail from Roy Berry and Lanay Clark’s inspector and basement contractor, both chosen by them. On May 5, I assisted you in securing the home you “loved”. In your defamatory review you state that I influenced the inspectors and conspired to suppress the truth about the findings. When I learned that you had contacted the inspector and requested he change his report, I was in disbelief. Given that Keith Eves also a professional, he refused to lie for your gain, but you found another way. With Mr. Eves’ permission, I’m sharing his response to the fabricated allegations that you left on the BBB. I’m attaching the link to his full response. However, in his complaint, he left out numerous important details and exaggerated others… On May 19, 2023, we received an email from Mr. Berry’s fiancé, Lanay, stating that the appraiser wanted them to engage a structural engineer and environmental engineer to “check some boxes”. The conditions of appraisal were looking for a structural engineer to sign off on items identified in the both our home inspection and the appraisal. Subsequently, Mr. Berry called me asking me for the same. I informed him that doing that could jeopardize my license and my livelihood. I could revisit and reinspect the house. He replied that the repairs had not been made, but his intention was to make the recommended repairs himself. I reiterated I could not sign off on items that he “planned to repair”. Mr. Berry replied: “We Love this house and want it, what can I do?” On July 13, 2023 we received an email from Mr. Berry’s fiancé, Lanay. In that email, she stated that she had an emergency situation. At approximately 7:30 AM on July 14, 2023 I revisited the house. When I arrived, Roy, the contractor was present. Mr. Berry, the contractor and I then went into the basement/crawlspace area. During our conversation, I remembered the phone call Mr. Berry made to me asking me to sign off that the house had no real structural concerns and the mold present was not a health concern. Mr. Berry first denied having that conversation with me. When I reminded him with the details of the call, his memory came back. I then said to him, I’m curious...how did you ever satisfy the lender with their “conditions of appraisal?” I had to ask him three times, he finally answered that he was able to “find a company to sign off” on what he needed". think about that. Returning to the specifics of your false allegations: you also claimed that I influenced the basement contractor not to go in the crawl space for proper evaluation. As per paper trail, I never met with the basement contractor. However, amongst the entirety of your lies and deceit throughout this process, in my opinion, your dealings with the basement specialist you chose were by far the most concerning. I'm not using Tim’s last name as he has not responded to my calls.
