Rocky Mountain Dinosaur Resource Center

This was better than I expected. There was quite a bit for my 2 year old (almost 3 yo) to enjoy, from touching bone and Fossil replicas to brushing dirt off fossils. What was really neat is that if you go during a week day you get to see them create and put together fossil replicas that they sell in their online shop and to museums all over the world. The museum shop was out of this world! I've always thought museums should sell more items that were finer quality souvenirs instead of just cheap stuff and this one had beautiful souvenirs for the most discerning patron. Kitchenware and home decor pieces made from specialty rocks, gems, fossilized wood, etc. They not only carried the cheap tube of dinosaur figurines but also the high quality ones. I've always thought it'd be nice to buy just one nice quality figurine as a souvenir for my young child. Maybe his favorite animal/dinosaur he saw that day, so our house wouldn't be polluted with cheap junk toys. This shop has everything dinosaur or fossil that probably exists.

Had our sons 6th birthday party here and it was a great experience. The area sectioned off for the party was very open with artifacts all around us. The tour, the cake, gift bags, all in all we had a really good time, my son was happy. The staff here are exceptional, attentive and friendly.

This place is a fantastic place to bring kids. Great for all ages and for people with disabilities. Absolutely worth going every time.
