Avicenna Lymphedema Care: Petra E. Schalk

Petra is by far the best lymphedema physical therapist I have found. Since moving out of state I have struggled to find anyone as knowledgable about the lymphatic system and lipedema as Petra. Her manual lymphatic drainage technique is better than anywhere else I have found and the results last longer. On top of that Petra is a pleasure to visit and always friendly. If you have lipedema or lymphedema go see Petra!

I have been seeing Igor at Avicenna for nearly a year. I first went in with chronic back pain and autoimmune issues. Not only can I say that Igor has worked wonders in my daily quality of life - I can stand, walk, swim, etc, without pain now. When I first came to Avicenna, I could barely stand for more than 5 minutes without extreme pain - But he has also helped to get my immune system to not be so over reactive. Before seeing Igor, my husband and I had been trying to get pregnant for nearly three years. I was able to get pregnant, but continued to miscarry (5 times). I am now 14 weeks pregnant and am confident that Igor's work has brought me to a healthy, more balanced, place where my body will allow me to carry. I couldn't be more happy with Igor and Avicenna. I will continue to use their services forever.
