Love the layout and pace of play. Trees, sand, and water hazards are nicely placed.

I play here all the time but had a particularly poor experience recently. I arrived for my tee time and the starter had bumped multiple much earlier times in front of us to accommodate for a frost delay. Prior to my arrival, I inquired over the phone and the pro shop assured me the delay was caught up. Because of this, my group, among several others, were left crowding the tee box (long enough to have a few drinks) waiting to play. Starter Brad told me he doesnt know why but thats what they tell people to stop them from cancelling, shout out to Brad for his honesty and great customer service. On top of that, they paired us with an employee (that did not pay for/schedule a tee time) despite there being a backup with paying customers waiting. Had to leave early to accommodate for my plans. If the pro shop was honest with me I could had taken a rain check and savedmoney. Seems like whoever is running the show now has a very loose grasp on the actions of those that represent the business or doesnt care.

Used to be my favorite local course but things have gotten progressively worse over the last few years. Every visit has a let down of some kind. Range machine is broken so go wait in line for five minutes while the attendant has a chat. Range Mats are a disgrace. Most places I rock up 40 mins before I tee time. At Hyland I always recommend calling first. They will be behind . Handy hint for management, expect ice in the morning in March in Colorado and sell tee times accordingly rather than botching your whole schedule for a forecastable issue. Maybe they are in a slump, but from my perspective it looks like a downward trend.
