Josh Thill and Thrive Engine are such a rare find! I met Josh through a referral during my search for a website developer. My wife is a solopreneur consultant who asked for my input (I have web development experience) in making a final decision between web developer options for her new business website and rebranding. Josh and Jeremy listened to our vision and aesthetic preferences and worked with us to help us craft her brand. They nailed it! What they came back with helped bring her vision to life. They provided several variations on the logo that could be used in different contexts (Print, Social Media, dark/light backgrounds, Website, etc.) From there, Josh and Jeremy took the brand online, designing a website she feels proud of. Thrive Engine uses Wordpress and Elementor for managing the website, which is a solid combo. Elementor has the ability to quickly preview different responsive layouts so you know it will be mobile friendly and look good in different contexts. Josh was generous with his time and very supportive of us while we went through the vulnerable process of finding her brands voice. I was very impressed by Josh's technical knowledge and skills with WordPress "behind the scenes." Unfortunately, he didn't really understand my brand. After a month of back and forth emails, we still didn't have a homepage that felt right. If you're looking for a site that sort of blends in with most of what else is out there, Josh can do that! If you're looking for someone who partners with you and your brand to bring you to life online, maybe not... Might depend on your brand. On the plus side, when I told Josh and we agreed to part ways, he was very professional and agreed to a partial refund of my deposit. As with anyone you hire to do work for your business, make sure they're the right fit! If you have a super tech heavy site, Josh might be it!
