Black Sulphur Spring

The Black Sulphur Spring is a beautiful, natural, and small spring/geyser right off the Yampa Core Trail. This spring and the spring that Steamboat Springs is named after were a part of a much larger geyser that was destroyed in 1908 with the development of the railway. The geological and biological features that remain are worth protecting and preserving.

We visited all of the springs. Each had nice history to read and were beautiful in their snow blankets.

It wasn't very accessible due to the snow but it is beautiful in the summer time! Tickets and payment aren't needed!
