When we decided to buy land and build in Steamboat Springs, CO our first priority was working with an architect who could help us envision our dream home to raise our 3 boys. After interviewing a few firms we immediately knew that Vertical Arts modern design style suited our needs for our mountain home. Working with Brandt and his team from conception to completion was a first rate design experience. The team at Vertical Arts was very available to brainstorm ideas and offered creative ideas when weighing options. In our case upgrading to steel windows throughout, using oversized walnut doors, adding an indoor basketball and outside living spaces including a salt water pool. Building our home we knew we wanted to maximize our views of the mountain, the surrounding aspen trees and natural beauty of Elkins Meadows. Brandt and his team designed our home to bring the outdoors inside maximizing all of our views with walls of glass for unobstructed views and multiple outdoor living spaces to enjoy the serene setting. As an active family of 5 we knew we needed a very functional layout for everyday life with three boys. The open floorpan has been provided us with perfect space for everyday living and also for entertaining large parties and gatherings for special occasions.
