Simple Lodge & Hostel

I had a great experience at the Simple Lodge! Very accommodating to my last-minute requests, very clean, very comfortable, truly a home away from home. New owner Jillian is lovely and her personality shines through the hostel updates. I slept well, was able to cook my own meals, and had the opportunity to meet other interesting travelers. I will definitely stay there again!

wonderful experience! friendly staff, all the basic amenities & more, perfect location downtown and only a couple blocks from S mountain and the arkansas hills trails. felt right at home:) Safety: Ive stayed at hostels in the past where I felt incredibly unsafe. this hostel completely changed my perception, i was not worried about my personal safety or the safety of my belongings at all while i was here. i wish every hostel felt as safe and welcoming as simple hostel. Walkability: right in the middle of downtown salida, i walked/biked everywhere while i was here.

Awesome hostel right downtown with the best hosts, vibes, and prices. Hard to beat this gem! Rooms: Clean rooms. Walkability: Everything is within a 5 minute walk! Food & drinks: Great coffee provided and within walking distance of many restaurants.
