If I could do no stars I would! I dropped my STIHL Kombi head off on 7/20/23. I was told the repair person was out for a week. Three weeks later on 8/11 I called and was told they had not gotten to my machine yet because they had 200 units to get to, this is their busy season. When I called back on 8/17, 8/24 and 8/31 I was told my unit had been looked at and we were waiting on parts. On 9/7 I called to follow up again, mind you I had to go buy another weed trimmer in the mean time because my weeds were getting out of control, I was told the part would be in today and we will have it ready for you today or tomorrow. No call. I called again on 9/13 and was told the same exact thing as the week before! When I confronted the girl on the phone about this she had no response and instantly got an attitude with me. I was being lied to and deceived and didnt appreciate it. Finally on 9/14 they called and said unit was ready. (unit is only two years old and still under warranty, no mention of service charge has ever been mentioned). Go to pick machine up, rude girl who answers the phone is there, no customer service, not even a hello. Tells me my bill is $75. For what? Its under warranty, the service manager comes out and explains its not covered under warranty because its a wear item. I ask him how an internal piece of the machine is a wear piece? If I open the machine myself I void the warranty. He agreed but still said it was a wear item. When asked why I wasnt asked or informed of this he replied $75 is not a lot of money, if it was a couple hundred dollars we would call. So I was never given a chance to speak with STIHL, I was never given an opportunity to ok the work that was going to cost me! By this point I am upset but I never threatened or cussed. Then he told me if you dont calm down we are going to throw you out! Him and another employee postured at me to intimidate me and then he proceeded to call for backup from the back service area. I asked for my receipt which the little girl threw at me, and when I pointed it out to the service manager he stated she just dropped on the counter. I got my machine and left. I will never use this place again! The receptionist and service manager need to be fired for their complete unprofessionalism, lying and deceptive ways. I buy a lot from Big R, its actually one of my favorite places to go, but I havent decided yet if Big R will keep my business, the service center surely will not unless they replace these two.

BIG R has had my mover for over a month and still can't provide a date for when the warranty work will be complete. The answer is the wrong equipment was ordered, don't know when the new parts will be in the store. When I bought the mower i was assured by Lee the manager of the Evergreen store that any issues would be handled quickly and under warranty - obviously that is not the case. I am looking to be without a brand new mower for at least 6-7 weeks - unacceptable. I would discourage anyone from buying a mower from Big R. Go to a local dealer that fixes their own machines.
