Absolutely 100% stellar experience from start to finish. I'd rate a billion positive stars if I could. My first oral surgery experience, and hopefully my last (strictly my dilligence to avoid it again...nothing negative against DCOS). Dr. Julia Plevnia (go wolverines) is not only an amazingly efficient tactician and surgical genius, but has that wonderful and caring personality and demeanor that just exceeds any and all expectations one can have in a medical professional. She went 1,000 miles out of her way to help me resolve my miserably painful problem within days. She is beyond a great professional (that's obvious in her work) but she is also the type of person you would be lucky to be able to call her a personal friend. She's just that amazing. And the accompanying dds assistants and office staff.... They couldnt have been more helpful, caring, friendly, pleasant and professional. They were beyond awesome. Every employer should be jealous they dont have a full office of professionals like these ladies. If you need oral surgery, go here. Took my daughter there in May and it took them four tries to get the IV in for her wisdom teeth removal. One of the sutures had a long tail on it and it was choking her a bit, but she toughed it out. Staff should have noticed the problem before releasing her. She healed fine. Took my son today to a different oral surgeon and what a difference. We were in and out in just under an hour. This place charges extra for the extended numbing medication which my daughter opted out of and was simply included where I took my son. Lesson learned. Between the price difference (other place cheaper too), having extreme trouble getting an IV done, we won’t be back. I’d check elsewhere for someplace else. Maybe the oral surgeon is fine and the staff is nice, but I’d rather have the extended numbing for free, cheaper price and a happier kid (he said it doesn’t hurt at all two hours after surgery). BTW, neither child had their wisdom teeth impacted into the jawbone, so both should have had a similar experience.
