Attention people thinking of visiting Pagosa Springs!! About half the people who live there are related. Because there is a lot of inbreeding. Ever since the 1800s. The people there discriminate, defamate and threaten people they don't even know!! If you visit don't talk to the locals, don't spend any money. Just go to the free hot tub and leave town!! You will thank me for the advice!!

This visitor center is in a lovely building right next to the San Juan River. You can park for free in the center's parking lot. Once inside, you will find free maps and plenty of information about Pagosa Springs and the surrounding area, including other states. You can pick up brochures here about dining, lodging, and fun things to do. You can refill your water bottle here and pick up a free Pagosa Springs sticker. (That was the highlight of my visit!) There is also a penny squishing machine here, so you can get your souvenir squished penny. The woman staffing the place was very welcoming.

Just fantastic. I dropped my phone in the riverI know!and got so much help at the visitor center. The young woman helping me called several local businesses on my behalf, directed me to them, and did it all cheerfully. I asked so but Im old. She helped me and my service dog on Wednesday Sept 20, 2023.
