        Excellent old school ski area - friendly, great lifts, not mobbed. Very friendly staff and instructors. Acres of wide open snow and catering to different levels of skill. We went in the spring and the weather was great. Very drivable from Pogosa Springs (about 35 minutes on a very good road). Lots of natural sites to visit in the vicinity if you have down time. Highly recommend and worth the easy flight from the east coast to Denver and connect through to Durango - easy 1 hour drive from the Durango airport to Pogosa Springs.

        How had we not heard of this place? Wolf Creek offers amazing skiing including more expert difficulty runs than most resorts in this price range. We will be back!
