Following a rewiring project that involved removal of decades old carpeting, our realtor advised us to ask Calabrese Flooring to refinish two hallways and two staircases of battered and somewhat creaky oak and pine floors. The result was excellent. Rich Calabrese transformed these areas from eyesores to beauty spots. In the process, he alerted us to structural issues hidden by the old carpeting, worked with our structural engineer and contractor to design sound and attractive repairs, and concocted stains that matched multiple vintages of flooring. Calabrese floored us! We chose Calabrese to install new hickory and ash hardwood in our office and primary bedroom. We liked their state-of-the-art equipment, such as dustless sanders, and the extensive knowledge of owner Mike Wong. Mikes installation craftsmanship is flawless. He recommended finishes and applied samples in each room to choose from. All of his care and expertise means we are totally happy with our new floors! Mike always said exactly what he was going to do and then did what he said, no excuses. One tip: if you go with Calabrese, contact them ahead because they are in demand.
