Its unfortunate to have to leave this review. As a recent new build home owner w/in the past 8 months in Greenspire / Windsor, CO, I have soo much to say but for right now I will leave it at this. BTW, before purchasing/ building a new home by this company and for many reasons I strongly suggest reviewing other business review websites as well; more importantly, gather feedback directly from various current home owners that you choose to reach out to, especially recent ones VS who they might suggest, so to make the best and most informed decision for you, your family, and your hard earned money. Very disappointed so far as outside of speaking with Ariel, communication (live/phone) and accountability with management has been and continues to be abysmal at best, more like zero! its a shame with the aesthetics and design of these homes to be so appealing to the eye, but.

Having a bad experience with this builder. 9 months out still waiting for completion. Home warranty unreliable. Be careful.

I am a realtor and visited windmill homes with a client. So this review is from that perspective. I have found the representatives to be communicative and get back quickly when we have questions. Although we have been waiting for the actual builder to get us a answer on something for over a week now which is why it is 4 stars. I found the quality of what is included in the home to be higher than other builders in the area. The finishes were upgraded from other builders and the homes look well done inside. We were in their Windsor neighborhood which is in a fabulous location just a few minutes from Windsor Lake and a quick drive into downtown Windsor. The neighborhood is still being built in so tricky to get a feel for it right now. If my client chooses to build I will update again!

We love our windmill home. We have been here about a year and it is extremely well constructed. The best part by far has been the warranty dept, Amber and Juan have been incredible. Juan has gone above and beyond helping us with minor issues resulting from normal house settling over the first year. He shows up, had a great attitude, and fixes things quickly and thoroughly. He is also extremely quick to respond when we reach out directly to him. The reason this review is not 5 stars is because of the sales representative Jared. He was very condescending throughout the process. We used a realtor and he told us several times there was no need for us to do so, even though we knew that and it was our choice to do so. Before our home was completed some large structural changes were seemingly snuck into our contract without discussion. We had to change our exterior house colors and he asked us to resign the contract for this reason and that the changes were highlighted. The structural changes were not highlighted. This was one of many changes, I usually reread the entire contract every time but by the 15th or so revision I trusted the changes being made were those discussed. In the end we did not get a covered patio or front pergola and when bringing up that we were disappointed and surprised Jared stated "its not my job to make sure you read a contract and are responsible, we lost a lot of money on your house with material pricing increases, why don't you walk away? I will sell your house for $200k more!" Up until the very end Jared was unpleasant and would tell us that our house "got him in trouble" because Windmill did not make much on our home (because of their non-escalation clause and the big increase of material prices during Covid). The other sales representative, Tom, was extremely helpful, responsive, and kind. If you have a choice of working with Tom over Jared I recommend you do so. There are 4 Windmill homes in our neighborhood and I know two other neighbors who had similar issues. I love our home but I would be very wary in insuring you religiously look over contracts and get what you pay for.
