Banner Health is a terrible institution that does not care about its patients. I had an appointment to review general podiatry concerns with Dr. Moss who encouraged a procedure which he assured would be covered by insurance. He even left the room to check the system which said that the procedure is covered by my copay. I went ahead with the procedure and a few weeks later, I received a bill for $152 for the procedure that was actually not covered by insurance. I would not have agreed to the procedure if I had known this. The next several months were spent trying to resolve the situation but instead I was bounced around between Dr. Moss' office and various billing and coding teams within Banner Health who didn't return my calls. It is misleading to tell a patient that something is covered by insurance when it isn't. I will be avoiding this office and all Banner Health facilities after this dreadful experience.
