Tutoring at Annie's Cottage

We met Annie through the I Have a Dream Foundation. My daughter met this great and amazing person that would help her out during difficult times. Her way of working with her students through whatever works with them such as reading, drawing, painting, ect. is truly phenomenal. This reflects itself through the way that my daughter reaches the goals she set. She helped her grow into a strong and independent young woman. Annie is a marvelous human being. She is friendly, understanding, and compassionate. She motivates you to keep on going, she helps you grow emotionally, and she empowers you. Her help while healing you allows you see the specialness withing you when you are struggling to find it. Annie I thankyou for being here for both me and my children.

Annie is a life saver. Her dedication to helping each child is wonderful. Annie looks at the individual and helps identify not only their areas of weakness, but their areas of strength and helps them build on them. Annie provided tutoring for our daughter for several years and was there to help us advocate for her needs at school. To this day my daughter uses the techniques that Annie taught her as coping skills in college and her every-day life.

Annie engaged our daughter using rich childrens literature, teaching her to read in full technicolor and to connect better, emotionally. Annie also used games masterfully, to make math and problem-solving collaborative and fun. Our daughter found her own unique voice while working with Annie.
