The simple truth is this was a fantastic experience from start to finish. This company performed to our expectations on every facet of the job. I typically do not read or write 5/5 or 1/5 reviews because I think they are not always a good representation of a person accurately reviewing a company. In this case I must make an exception and write a 5/5 star review. This company performed above our expectations. We waited a year to get on the schedule to have our log home in Drake, Colorado refinished. The home is over 20 years old and had never had any work done to the exterior. While the bones of the home were solid, the home needed a total makeover. David and his team brought our home to show room status. They started the job on time and showed up everyday ready to work. They were pleasant/friendly and left the job site clean every day. The work was Top Shelf with the highest quality products. Nothing was allowed to be just okay. I saw David inspect his teams work and assure the quality was to his standards. He and his team clearly have vast experience with log homes. In my opinion, chinking can make or break the look of a log home. I had specific requests for what I wanted with regards to the chinking and David hit a homerun. Perfect lines and transitions that are pleasing to the eye. They also did many things for us that were not in the contract. David repaired steps on our deck that were not in the bid. When they were replacing the lights and down spouts, they made sure all the light bulbs were good and functional and replaced those that were not. To me, that is a level of care you just do not see anymore. They even cleaned the bathroom in my shop that they used. These little touches speak volumes to the quality of the work and the work ethics of this company. This team is a family, they had lunch together and sang and laughed together while they worked. They were clearly enjoying what they did and were happy to have a job. It was a joy to have them share our little slice of heaven. I cannot think of one thing I would encourage them to change or one aspect of the job that I feel was not done with quality in mind. If you are in need of a log home refinishing company to help you with your homethis is the company I would recommend.

REM has now done 2 projects for us on our log home. 2 years ago they sand blasted and refinished our decks and railings and this year they did the same for the logs on the front of the home. I enjoy working with these folks - they are hard working and do a good, professional job. The work from 2 years ago still looks great.

Damian and REM did a great job on our cabin - we needed it to be stained and chinked and have the larger cracks in the logs filled. They were very professional and friendly, everything looks very nice and they cleaned up after themselves. We happened to have an agent from Wildfire Partners come by to get some ideas for what additional trees, etc. we need to remove for fire mitigation. He told me that chinking and sealing the cracks is essential to help prevent embers from lodging either in-between a couple logs or in a crack in a log and potentially causing a log to catch on fire. So, not only does the cabin look more finished, but we have also added another layer to potentially save the cabin in the event of a wildfire. I highly recommend REM.
