Beautiful looking homes on the inside and outside, but a little overpriced for not having any views and less square footage than Solstice a couple miles down the road.

Buyer Beware!! We bought a home from Meritage just over a year ago and during the last and only cold night a piper burst in our basement flooding the entire finished basement and causing thousands in damage. Meritage immediately said it was our fault without coming by the home. Once the insurance assigned plumber came by he said a new home should never have these problems and identified the insulation was improperly installed causing cold to hold in the line. We provided all documentation to the warranty region manager and he refused take any responsibility. Furthermore refused to take our calls or respond to emails. We had to go around him and try to reach someone. Today I received a very angry and aggressive call from the region warranty rep, insulting my husbands attempts to reach his boss. When I asked for his supervisors info he proceeded to talk over me and raise his voice with me, for 6 minutes I was verbally accosted by this man (and I repeatedly told him I didnt want to talk to him) before he gave me his bosses info! He continued his angry rampage and I had to hang up the phone! I feel harassed and scared by how this man treated me. And we have no resolve and are now working through the BBB. Buy another builders home!
