Waypoint Early Learning Center

Upon walking into the daycare, the owner had 2 small little dogs in her office. She seemed she was unable to give me a tour since she was cleaning up the dog's accident on the floor. Not impressed that the owner brings dogs into the building. What about children with dog allergies or fears? Could a child be hurt by one of the dogs? Gosh, I hope not. The tour was completed by a part time staff member who "helps out sometimes". She was unsure of the curriculum they teach in their preschool/prekindergarten classrooms. They do not practice writing letters or numbers in these classes. I was very disappointed in this facility and therefore will not be enrolling my child in this facility.

As a teacher here for the the past few months I love it here. The directors are amazingly thoughtful people who care incredibly deeply for their staff, the parents and especially the kids. They take extra time to make sure to support the people around them that I haven't experienced anywhere else. It makes this place feel like a home. The way they care for us is easy to see and easy to feel. As a parent I can only assume you feel the love walking in the door. All the teachers here are dedicated and love the children deeply.

My 2.5 year old daughter has been going here for a few weeks. She has so much fun, and every day she comes home and tells me all about her school, friends and teachers. Waypoint is definitely the prettiest daycare I've ever seen, and it was clear my daughter loved the environment from her very first visit. They do a lot of neat activities with the kids (and send me photos throughout the day!), and everyone that works there has been really nice. The tuition is very reasonable. I would highly recommend Waypoint ELC to anyone interested.

Highly highly recommend Waypoint! My child has attended for nearly two years and we are continually impressed! Its so hard on your mama heart to drop off your kiddo with other people or find the right fit for care, but I know when I drop off at Waypoint, my kiddo is loved, safe, nourished, and enriched!! My childs vocabulary is impressive. Hes learning sign language, Spanish, and constantly telling us new stories with words or phrases I didnt know he knew! I totally believe its because of the amazing work of WELC staff. The food they serve is diverse and nutritious. I love that my kiddo gets exposed to things I wouldnt serve regularly at home. They are also very aware and supportive of allergies! The staff are phenomenal. The directors, the teachers, the chef, everyone that works there are incredibly kind and take the time to get to know my child as an individual. They learn his nuances and support his needs. Despite their staffing shortages (as all schools are experiencing right now), they have persevered and continued to provide a safe, loving environment. The staff are also always willing to work through and address concerns you may have; which is a big deal to us! Keep up the amazing work Waypoint! We love and appreciate yall!!!

Our daughter has gone to Waypoint for almost a year now. Her language has expanded like crazy and she loves her buddies there. Its never easy leaving your child in anyone elses hands, but I leave everyday feeling so thankful for her teachers and this school. :)
