Our family had a hit and run. We ran down the truck took pictures of the truck and plate, gathered up the parts that hit us, found out the insurance, DOT, information filed a report gave the police the parts off the truck that hit us also the license the owner information. After all this work they did not help at all. We pursued the commercial company truck and owner until we got reimbursed. Three times over twenty-five years and not once they helped our family. There is no longer protect and serve.

This is just one out of MANY 1 star experiences ive had with lakewood PD over the years. One example bald head Officer Matthew Christensen near colorado mills mall is a brute force Rambo style "bad cop" in the way he carries out his "investigation" (which amounted to nothing). Honestly overall a very helpful department except the colorado mills mall cop Matthew Christensen,

Tried calling the non-emergency line to report some suspicious activity by my house... the line goes to an automated message that goes on, and on and on...and then it goes on and on some more in spanish. My thought is that this is done in purpose to discourage people reporting. Less crime being reported must mean the police is doing a great job, right?
