Hi Carissa! Thanks for taking the time to leave a review, though we regret that this is your perspective of your experience while checked into our shelter. While we do infrequently deal with DV situations or issues with people vandalizing the property, we always make it a priority to deal with these things swiftly and our guests' safety is always top of mind.Our team does indeed have high standards when it comes to the behavior of those we host, given that there are sadly lots of people in our community that are experiencing homelessness and in need of shelter and support; if those we are able to shelter can't follow simple rules to say no to drugs, alcohol, and violence, they cannot stay and you're right: we do kick people out. We do hope you will get the help you need and wish you all the luck in doing so!

Hi Laura,Whenever unhoused guests sheltering here at White Swan choose to check out abruptly because they don't like the rules (or are taken under custody by law enforcement...) we are left with an often *very* dirty room to clean and repair. Our staff would never "steal a bunch of [your] stuff," and we have high standards when it comes to maintaining a clean and safe space. It's disappointing when those we host (who are getting a FREE place to stay and offered layers of support to get back on your feet...) do not respect the property, other guests, or the rules we put in place for the safety of yourself and others. We hope you will get the help you need and wish you all the luck in doing so!
